Lenci Art Deco Pottery
The Lenci factory was established in 1919 in Turin, originally concentrating on the production of hand painted and stuffed dolls. The production of pottery didn’t start until 1928 however.
The output of Lenci became quickly popular, using high standards of design to make the company into a leading exponent in its field both in Europe and the States. The company produced a variety of pieces such as figures, wall plaques and animals. A famous Lenci depicts the scantily-clad founder of the company Elena König Scavini who designed for Lenci as well as other famous names including Giovanni Grande and A. Jasopi.
